Hi! I'm Tamara.
I am a recovering spend-a-holic, who found herself living paycheck to paycheck despite earning a six-figure salary.
How does that happen, one might ask? Unfortunately, it’s easier than you might think. I live in an expensive city and at the height of my spending I was burning money on trendy clothes, shoes (shout out to the Nordstrom’s shoe department!), and weekly extravagant dinners.
At the lowest points in my financial journey my credit score was in the mid-500s, I owed the IRS money, I had accounts in collection, and no retirement savings. Yes, all this drama while earning a great salary.
My phrase, “you can’t out earn bad spending habits,” comes from personal experience.
However, I decided that I didn’t want to live that way anymore. And over the past 15 years I poured myself into learning about personal finance and the psychology of spending. During that time, I have raised my credit score to over 800. I learned how to increase my net worth from negative to multiple six-figures through investing in the stock market. I paid off all of my student loans. I paid my car off. And, I have zero credit card debt.
This experience not only taught me a lot, but it helped me to create an AMAZING system to save more, invest, and pay off debt while spending on the things I find most important.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
It seems weird to me to spend money to Get My Money Right. Any suggestions on how to make this decision?
I hear you. And, because I really want to help I've tried to keep the price of this program as low as possible. However, our lives are filled with expenses and one of the most costly expenses is not having the right knowledge or information. Like, the fact that some banks charge a fee to keep our money there (these banks suck by the way). Or the fact that poor or average credit can cost us tens or hundreds of thousands of dollars in our lifetimes. The point is, that not being knowledgable about our finances cost us - a lot. I want to bring these to your attention so you can put a system in place to navigate your financial life better (and ultimately keep more money in your pocket).
Still, when facing any money decision, I recommend considering five main factors:
The Numbers: Do you know if you have enough money right now to make this purchase (this program will help you if you’re afraid to look at your numbers).
The Timing: Do you need this right now? Is your relationship to money calling (or screaming) to you? Have you been praying for this kind of support?
The Value: Is this valuable to you? If so, how valuable? Are you willing to spend your money to reflect this value?
The Cost: How much is it costing you to NOT give yourself this information? How is not receive the information in Get Your Money Right hurting you or your relationships?
Now, take a deep breath. Check in with yourself. Look at your numbers. Consider the timing. Weigh the value. Reflect on your intentions. Is this your time? Only you can know.
What if I'm already too busy and barely have a free hour in my day to do anything?!
This is a really crazy time, I feel you.
But you don't need hours upon hours to put your powerful financial system together. The Get Your Money Right program is a 4-day framework for easy implementation. And it only requires an hour each day of the program, even if you only have time in the evening after work, or after the kids go to bed.
That being said, timing is an issue to consider. Ask yourself do you need a better way to handle your money right now? Could a proven system to manage your finances benefit you at this time? Is this your moment to make a real change?
What do you mean by mindfulness and systems? How will that help with my money?
Mindfulness is just a fancy term for bringing our full awareness to something. Because money elicits such a strong response from most people, we don't realize that many of our behaviors are being driven by a unconscious response or pattern. What we do in Get Your Money Right is provide an introduction to a mindfulness money practice. And systems is just a fancy term for a strategy that we can use again and again. By combining mindfulness and systems it will transform the way you manage your money for the better.
Can I try out Get Your Money Right and return it if it doesn't work for me?

The reality? Once you complete and implement Get Your Money Right (and stop stressing about your finances ), you’ll be thinking of a different r-word: Referral. 😉
